Today I am combining two memes – “Book Beginning on Friday” and “The Friday 56”!

Since I am currently reading, and almost done with, Happy Singles Day by Ann Marie Walker, I am sharing the first few sentences of the book and a short excerpt of the book for The Friday 56! But first, here’s what the book is about!

Here are the first few sentence of the book and my impression!

Paige Parker did not need a man.

She’d just told her assistant as much, but that didn’t stop him from swiping through the photos he’d prescreened for her on some app that promised to find a date for even the loneliest of spinsters. Okay, maybe they didn’t word it exactly like that.

My Impression:

Reading these first few lines of the book, I knew I was going to love it as much as I was anticipating it. The writing style especially pulled me in, and really, I didn’t want to keep the books down, but life calls😔

“Deal,” he said.
