Meow Everyone! đž
Welcome to another combination meme post of two memes â âBook Beginning on Fridayâ and âThe Friday 56â!
This week I am continuing with Me Before You by Jojo Moyes, and I am not that far in the book. The book’s beginning is from chapter one, there was a prologue too, but I choose to post the beginning of chapter 1 instead. If you have already read this book (which I am sure you all might have since I am sure I might probably the last person reading this now đ„ș), tell me what you thought about this book!
Down below is the first paragraph of the book and a short excerpt for The Friday 56! But first, hereâs what the book is about –

About The Book

Synopsis
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Giver of Stars, discover the love story that captured over 20 million hearts in Me Before You, After You, and Still Me.
They had nothing in common until love gave them everything to lose . . .
Louisa Clark is an ordinary girl living an exceedingly ordinary lifeâsteady boyfriend, close familyâwho has barely been farther afield than their tiny village. She takes a badly needed job working for exâMaster of the Universe Will Traynor, who is wheelchair bound after an accident. Will has always lived a huge lifeâbig deals, extreme sports, worldwide travelâand now heâs pretty sure he cannot live the way he is.
Will is acerbic, moody, bossyâbut Lou refuses to treat him with kid gloves, and soon his happiness means more to her than she expected. When she learns that Will has shocking plans of his own, she sets out to show him that life is still worth living.
A Love Story for this generation and perfect for fans of John Greenâs The Fault in Our Stars, Me Before You brings to life two people who couldnât have less in commonâa heartbreakingly romantic novel that asks, What do you do when making the person you love happy also means breaking your own heart?

To start with Book Beginning on Friday here is the first paragraph of the book!
Book Beginning On Friday
Book Beginnings On Friday is hosted by rose city reader, and it prompts us to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with the initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.
There are 158 footsteps between the bus stop and home, but it can stretch to 180 if you arenât in a hurry, like maybe if youâre wearing platform shoes. Or shoes you bought from a charity shop that have butterflies on the toes but never quite grip the heel at the back, thereby explaining why they were a knock-down ÂŁ1.99. I turned the corner into our street (68 steps), and could just see the house â a four-bedroomed semi in a row of other three- and four-bedroomed semis. Dadâs car was outside, which meant he had not yet left for work.
My Impression:
After reading this first paragraph, I knew the writing style was going to be good. I could already see a lot of descriptions in the book here, which is a good sign, and, so far, I am enjoying the book đ»đ». I am just bummed since I feel like I am not progressing much in the book because of the long chapters đ„ș But, hopefully, đ€đœ I’ll finish it before February arrives!

The Friday 56
The Friday 56 is a weekly meme hosted by Freda at Fredaâs Voice. This meme prompts us to grab a book, any book, and turn to page 56 or 56% in your e-reader and share a short excerpt. Hereâs an excerpt from Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
I pulled out a piece of paper and sat back. It was a folded ten-pound note.
âThere you go. The emergency tenner.â
âSo?â
âItâs yours.â
âFor what?â

And thatâs all! Thank you for reading, and as always, until my next post, take care!đ
